There are really only two emotions – love and fear – at least that is what I was told by a good friend several years ago. Of course I began to argue – What about hate? What about jealousy? How about greed? And for that matter, what about pride, joy and exuberance?

“All,” she replied, “can come under the heading of love and fear.”


Moving-Such a Paradox! by Viv Dion
Moving is so emotional. It’s a paradox; the sentimental uprooting of our family nest coupled with jittery eagerness of a new place. As I pack, grief overwhelms me. How could I leave our little gray ranch house when my two sons learned to walk, made friends, and played outside?
